Haters Gonna Hate, Likers Gonna Like

in Philosophy

haters gonna hate

We tend to forget the high-fives and remember the middle-fingers.

We focus on a single “boo” in a chorus of cheers.

Haters, by nature, are going to hate. No matter what you do, they’ll find something to hate about it. Let them.

Stop catering to cynics who will never fall in love with you and embrace those that may. Focus on over-delivering for those that support you and get better at ignoring those who don’t.

Those that like you (or don’t go out of their way to hate you) are the ones who will be your subscribers, fans, customers, and friends. Why not use your energy on making the happy happier instead of letting the unhappy bring you (and your work) down?

Haters gonna hate, likers gonna like.

Embrace it.

My personal motto is people run hot & cold with me. People can take or leave me. I stick with the takers and leave the leavers. If you don’t get me, you don’t get me and I’m quite alright with that. Those that do are my kind of folk anyway.

Kudos to you for having that motto. I’m trying to adopt that type of thinking more and more. I was getting tired of bouncing ideas off of people who would just sort of throw them to the ground. I’d end up not pursuing any of my ideas. Then I realized that the people who were putting me down are the people who put everything down, and I’d never get a thumbs up from them. The only thing they were doing was holding me back.

Now, like you, I’m just letting them be cynical, that’s their choice, but it isn’t mine. I want to try things out instead.

All I can hear is that “haters gonna hate” chorus from the Chapelle show…but thats just me.

Great observation of course. We do focus on a single boo. Most recently I’ve noticed that one big brogger (hehe I love typos on purpose) only answers negative comments on his blog…interesting, isnt it?

Anyway…dude, I have a legendary podcast abt SEO coming out tomorrow, you MUST tell me what you think.

Looking forward to the podcast, my friend. I’m on the road today but will check it out as soon as I am back on the East Coast.

Now I have the theme song from Chapelle show in my head. For that, I thank you.
